Ohaus Valor™ 3000 Xtreme

The OHAUS Corporation, a leading manufacturer of scales for industrial and laboratory markets worldwide, has announced the addition of the new Valor™ 3000 Xtreme line of compact portioning scales.

The Valor 3000 Xtreme portioning scale is designed for the daily weighing needs of restaurants, contract foodservice, food and menu development test kitchens and food manufacturing applications. The scale’s housing is constructed entirely of stainless steel with added chemical resistance protection incorporated into its front panel. Both top and bottom housings are made of T304 stainless steel and are designed to endure years of service in the harshest environments. The Valor 3000 Xtreme’s QuadraStance™ design uses four large, adjustable rubber feet for firm and stable weighing.

The Valor 3000 Xtreme is also equipped with extreme overload and shock protection – rated at 10 times capacity – making it an ideal scale for tough environments where scale capacity is often exceeded.

Each Valor 3000 Xtreme is NSF listed/certified, USDA-AMS accepted, and will support a HACCP-certified system. The washable models of the Valor 3000 Xtreme can be quickly cleaned under a tap or sprayed with water for quick cleaning.

Taking scale durability and protection to the next level, the Valor 3000 Xtreme is also offered in three NEMA 4X / IP65 fully washable models. This makes the Valor 3000 Xtreme ideal for use in wet applications without the risk of damage to the scale.

The Valor 3000 Xtreme can be quickly set into the weighing units required from a choice of lb, fractional or decimal ounces; a combined lb:oz display (with either fractional or decimal ounces); or kg, g or fluid ounces of water. Each Valor 3000 Xtreme can be set into additional software modes for calculating baker’s percentages or for specific gravity determination, a key feature for use in checking the aeration of mixes, ice cream and gelati.

Complementing the rugged design and construction of the Valor 3000 Xtreme is its highly precise weighing performance. The high precision weighing cells in the Valor 3000 Xtreme offer resolutions up to 20,000d.

For easy portability, the Ohaus Valor 3000 Xtreme can be powered using either the included AC adapter or with 4 “C” cells for up to 100 hours of battery life.

Designed with OHAUS’ SmarText™ interface, the Valor 3000 Xtreme utilizes a bright backlit LCD with simple English text prompts to guide the user through application use and setup.
